Principles of being a good American

The following are principles of being a good American that are enunciated in the Declaration of Independence.

1. God is the Creator of all men.

2. Your rights and the rights of your fellow men are God-given, and for that reason alone no power on Earth can take these rights away.

3. As a personal creature of God, each of us is equal in the sight of God to every other person, and for that reason each of us is entitled to the equal protection of all the laws in the land.

4. Government is not man’s master; on the contrary, government is man’s servant, chosen by man to protect the God-given rights of mankind.

Upon the solid foundation of these truths the glory and prosperity of our country has risen. These truths make America great.

If you want to be a good American and maintain the blessings of liberty for yourself and your prosperity, hold these truths and live them.

“Let us go to the neighboring towns, so that I may proclaim the message there also, for that is what I came to do.” (Mark 1:38)
