We feel blessed

I would like to thank Nathalie Taylor for the fine article honoring my mother for her 90th birthday. It is wonderful to see her appreciated by the community she loves and cares for.

On behalf of our entire family, I would like to express our deepest love and appreciation to Carmen, my mother’s beloved companion. Carmen is not a maid, as stated in the article. Carmen is my dear sister and her importance to my mother and the rest of our family is unparalleled. Without her, my mother could not do what she does in her daily life and for the community at large.

Carmen has been an extraordinary mother to her children, who are both positive and successful in their lives, but in addition to that, she has always been a loved and vital part of our family.

I am forever blessed to know Carmen, an extraordinary person – the kind of person we need more of in this world.
