FALLBROOK — Thanks to a generous gift from “Wheels for Kids” the Boys & Girls Clubs of North County were able to give away 75 bikes. The giveaway was held at the Ingold Unit on December 20.
Officer Ernie Vasquez and Council Member Chuck Vasquez, both of Cathedral City, and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Cathedral City were instrumental in making this heartwarming event happen.
“Wheels for Kids” wanted to donate bikes to kids who had been directly affected by the wildfires.
“We are so thankful for the bicycles and helmets. This kind of generosity is an excellent start to the holiday season. The members and families couldn’t have been happier,” said Lisa Ware, director of operations for the Boys & Girls Clubs of North County.
