Fire victims get free admission to antique show

The Del Mar Antique Show and Sale will be held Friday through Sunday, January 18-20, at Del Mar Fairgrounds. The show runs from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

Included will be a special booth for appraising antiques, collectables or any other treasures one wants to bring to the booth. Experts with encyclopedic knowledge who are respected throughout the antique industry, including TV and radio’s John Humphries, will give a potential dollar value on the spot.

Of special interest will be repair and restoration artisans who are experts in the fields of glass, crystal, jewelry, porcelain, pottery, rugs and jewelry (and who are offering a special discount for recent fire victims).

Also onsite will be TortugaTrading.com with items/props used in the “Pirates of the Caribbean” movies.

The Del Mar Antique Show and Sale brings San Diego 100,000 square feet of antiques, vintage collectibles and decorator items from more than 250 premier antique and collectible dealers from all over the western United States.

Victims of the recent wildfires will receive free admission with proof of affected zip codes. For others, a 50-percent discount on admission is available at http://www.calendarshows.com.
