Adult programs

• Computer assistance: Individual instruction by appointment on Thursdays from 9 to 10 a.m.

• Computer database training class: Thursday, January 3, from 9 to 10 a.m. Sign up at the reference desk.

• Adult Writing Group: Irene Hendricks facilitates creative writing exercises Thursdays, January 3 and 17, from 6 to 6:45 p.m. Sign up at the reference desk.

• Family Craft Night: Bring the whole family to make a seasonal craft Thursday, January 10, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Sign up at the reference desk.

• Friends of the Library meet at Art Studios, 310 East Alvarado, Tuesday, January 15, at 2 p.m.

Children’s programs

• Grandparents and Books: Read a story with Grandpa Larry Tuesdays from 10:30 a.m. to noon.

• Preschool Storytime (ages 3-5): Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m.

• Coloring Table: Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

• Make It & Take It Craft: Elementary-aged children make rainbow fish Tuesday, January 8, from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.

• Paws to Read: Gain reading confidence by reading aloud to a companion dog Thursday, January 10. Sign up at the reference desk for a 15-minute session.
