Have they finally seen the light?

eeting of the Valley Center Municipal Water District when agriculture was restricted from watering for a couple of weeks for repairs.

I suggested to the directors that maybe we should restrict the amount of new homes being built all over Valley Center. Gary Arant and other directors pooh-poohed this suggestion, even saying that “it would cut into their revenues”!

With mandatory 30-percent cuts starting this month, growers, me included, are facing cuts in our revenues, disconnecting water to some of our trees, cutting down others. Nice way to stay in business, don’t you think?

Now, suddenly, it seems they’ve seen the light! About time but a little late!
