American Youth Football comes to Fallbrook

FALLBROOK — American Youth Football (AYF), the largest youth football and cheer organization in the country, is opening its doors in Fallbrook for 2008 Spring “8” Man Tackle Football, followed by its inaugural fall football season.

Signups for Spring “8” Man Tackle Ball will be held at Christ The King Lutheran Church on January 12 and 19 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. both days.

Spring ball practice starts in February and games run from March through April. Signup information for the fall season will be distributed sometime this spring.

AYF is a National Football League national youth partner because of their commitment to giving back to the communities in which they reside. In the past, San Diego area AYF organizations have held food drives and blood drives and Fallbrook AYF would like to continue those and other goodwill gestures in the community.

The current AYF working board is looking for knowledgeable, experienced coaches who have the time to give to the youth of Fallbrook. They welcome all players from age 5 to eighth grade.

Registration is $150 per player, excluding the cost of shoes.
