Johnsons celebrate 59th wedding anniversary

Chester and Gail Johnson of Fallbrook were married on December 26, 1948, in Kansas City, MO. They had two children, Janet Lyn Bauman, Chicago, IL, and Eileen Shaw (deceased), who was a school principal.

Chester graduated from the University of Colorado with a BS in aeronautical engineering. He worked for 37 years at Minneapolis Honeywell with considerable experience on the Apollo Program as a space guidance system engineer. After retiring, he worked as a consultant in engineering.

The Johnsons retired to Fallbrook in 1999. Chester is a golfer while Gail, who studied history and music, is a member of the Quarter Notes of the Fallbrook Music Society and plays piano for the youth singers at Fallbrook United Methodist Church.
