Woman's Club presents books to kids

Over the past 20 years, as an annual Christmas tradition, two groups from the Fallbrook Woman’s Club – ESO (Epsilon Sigma Omicron), a reading sorority, and Literature and Performing Arts – have collected and presented more than 2,000 books to the children at the Fallbrook Child Development Center.

This year, the women collected more than 100 books ranging from picture books for toddlers to coloring books, fairytales, nursery rhymes, Christmas poems and contemporary and familiar stories of childhood.

The books were presented to the children by club members Isolde Koranek, Lois Lee and Ayn Bryant. Each child is given a book to take home. The other books remain in the center’s library to be used daily in learning projects.
