Oldest Appliance Video Contest ends January 31

BUFFALO, NY — The public is invited to send their entries in now, as North America’s Oldest Appliance Contest, held by APWagner.com, ends on January 31.

The contest is a nationwide call to find the oldest appliance, working or not, in the United States or Canada. Contestants wishing to enter should submit a two-minute video of themselves and their appliance to http://www.apwagner.com.

The contest has six categories and each will have a winner. The grand prize winner with the Absolute Oldest Appliance will win three new Whirlpool appliances plus $1,000 in cash. There will also be winners for Oldest Refrigerator, Oldest Range, Oldest Dryer and Oldest Washer.

People who don’t have an old appliance can send a video with a newer appliance. The craziest video entry received on the Web site will also receive three new GE appliances plus $1,000 in cash. Only a few entries for this category have been received.

Video submissions will be judged on originality, creativity and age of the appliances. All winners will be announced on April 7.

Complete contest rules, instructions on how to enter and already received videos can be viewed at the Web site by clicking on the link for North America’s Oldest Appliance Contest.

Additionally, APWagner.com is also giving away a $1,000 American Express gift card. No purchase is necessary and the entry form can be found by clicking on the North America’s Oldest Appliance link at the Web site. The gift card will be awarded on February 4.
