Erosion control center closes Jan. 19

The last day of operation for the County Erosion Control Center, located at Ingold Field, 2551 Olive Hill Road, will be Saturday, January 19, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

County staff operating the centers since the October wildfires have assisted residents with private property erosion control assessments and given out sandbags, fiber rolls and seed to fire victims.

Officials say they will provide information on sandbag availability for future storms as necessary.
