Dorothy Margaret Drew

Dorothy Margaret Drew passed away on Sunday, January 20, 2008, two days before her 86th birthday. She was born on January 22, 1922.

Originally from Utica, MI, Dorothy moved to Fallbrook in 1960 with her husband and family.

Mrs. Drew is survived by her husband of 64 years, Wally Drew, of Fallbrook. She was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, sewing, painting and gardening.

Dorothy was an active member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church and was a past president and member of the Women’s Guild. She also belonged to The Angel Society, Fallbrook Hospital Auxiliary and Fallbrook Garden Club.

Dorothy and Wally enjoyed dancing and traveling and were longtime members of the Fallbrook Exploradores RV Group.

Besides her husband, Dorothy is survived by daughter Grace Denny of Escondido, son Wally and daughters Peggy Durling, Susan Price and Teresa McIntosh, all of Fallbrook. Another son, Gerald Anthony, was stillborn. Dorothy treasured her16 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

The family wishes to express heartfelt appreciation to Gracious Living Senior Care, Inc. of Murrieta and Fallbrook Hospice for their compassionate, loving care of Dorothy.

In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to Fallbrook Hospice in Dorothy’s memory.

Rosary and Visitation will be held Thursday, January 24, 2008 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Berry-Bell & Hall Mortuary.

A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, January 25, 2008 at 10 a.m. at St. Peter’s Catholic Church. Private burial will be Riverside National Cemetery.
