English or Spanish?

I have noticed that the Fallbrook Community Center continuously offers classes to learn Spanish like “Mommy and Me Spanish” and “Beginning Spanish.”

The first sentence description of the class is as follows: “One of every seven people in the USA speaks Spanish.” I would guess that number is higher in Fallbrook, so why doesn’t the Center offer “Beginning English” and “Mommy and Me English?”

If so many people do not speak our country’s national language, wouldn’t it make more sense to offer classes to learn it? Why is there more of a priority in our community to teach and to learn Spanish than to learn English?
