Fallen power poles cause major blackout

A fallen tree has caused multiple power poles to fall down on East Mission. Road closures seen on Stagecoach, East Mission and Willowglen. There is a road closure stopping traffic from going east of Stagecoach Ln. Traffic heading west into town from the freeway is turned around just west of Hamilton Ln.

Willow Glen is also closed from traffic on East Mission Rd. A very bright light was seen in the sky about the time the power went out.

According to SDG&E there are about 243 customers without power in Northeast Fallbrook, Rainbow/Rice Canyon/Pala Mesa Village area as a result of weather. According to a North County Fireman who was directing traffic there was a downed tree that brought down multiple lines on East Mission. There is also a problem on Willow Glen.

SDG&E estimates that the power will be back on by midnight tonight.
