Water media artist to visit art assoc.

The Fallbrook Art Association’s next general meeting will feature award-winning water media artist Phyllis Doyon at 7 p.m. February 11 at the Hilltop Center, 331 East Elder.

Preceding the meeting, there will be an informal “Eat ’n Critique” session from 5:30 until 6:30. Participants in the critique are encouraged to bring one or two “paintings in progress” plus a snack or box dinner to eat during the session. Refreshments will be served following the meeting.

The meeting and critique session are open to the public at no charge. Membership applications are available at all meetings. For more information about membership, contact Bill Rupp at (760) 723-6624.

Doyon, a graduate of Oxnard College, studied abstract concept with internationally known James Jarvaise as well as many other nationally known artists. She has had more than 40 solo shows and her paintings have been award winners at numerous exhibitions.

In addition to demonstrating at the meeting, Doyon will hold a workshop from 9:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. February 17 at the Public Utilities Department Building, 990 East Mission.

For cost and information on the workshop, contact Joan Nied at (760) 451-1591.
