Hazardous waste collection event

The County of San Diego will hold a Household Hazardous Waste, Electronic and Universal Waste Collection Event for Fallbrook area residents on Saturday, February 23. The event will be held at Fallbrook High School, 2400 South Stage Coach Lane, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Household hazardous waste is unused or leftover portions of products containing toxic chemicals used at home. These products are labeled: caution, warning, danger, poison, toxic, flammable or corrosive.

Please leave products in their original containers for transporting. Make sure the lids are on tight and transport the products in the back of the vehicle away from passengers and pets. Containers used for transport may not exceed five-gallon bucket size.

Note: a maximum of five televisions or computer monitors will be accepted per vehicle, in addition to household hazardous waste.

Please do not bring business waste, tires, ammunition, explosive or radioactive material, medical waste, air conditioners or large appliances to this event.
