Special Boy Scout meeting open to visitors

Boy Scout Troop 737 extends an invitation to potential new scouts, in fifth through ninth grades, and their families.

There will be a special troop meeting on Tuesday, February 12, at the United Methodist Church on Winterhaven and Green Canyon from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

The two special guest speakers will be Master Gunnery Sgt. Kenneth Etherton, who is currently serving as First Marine Expeditionary Force Communications Chief, and Gunnery Sgt. Nicholas Willoughby, who is currently serving at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar as Explosive Ordnance Disposal Chief.

Both men have served a number of tours overseas have earned many impressive personal awards and medals. They will be talking about their life experiences and creative solutions in rebuilding foreign countries.
