Johnny P. Lopez, Jr.

Johnny P. Lopez, Jr., 58, passed away February 10, 2008, in Vista, CA. Born December 15, 1949, in Austin, TX, he was a resident of Fallbrook for 26 years.

Mr. Lopez joined the USMC in 1968, served his country in Desert Storm and retired from the corps as a Master Sergeant in 1992. He worked as a mechanic for the United States Postal Service for the last 13 years. Mr. Lopez loved his family, his country and the Marine Corps. He was also an avid fisherman.

Mr. Lopez is survived by his wife Lupe Lopez, son Mike Lopez and grandson Seth Lopez, all of Fallbrook.

A viewing was held at Berry-Bell & Hall Mortuary on February 13. Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, February 14, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Peter’s Catholic Church.
