Quality, beauty, dependability is what matters

Superior Rain Gutters and Custom Awnings pride themselves on excellence

John and Teresa Newman, owners of Superior Rain Gutters and Custom Awnings, have made it their personal commitment to provide customers with dependable service and quality products.

“We’ve had our business for over 18 years,” said Teresa.

Opening the rain gutter company was their first goal, followed by the awning business, which began operation in 1994.

“Years and years ago, we had a friend who worked for a rain gutter company and he was the one who got us involved in this line of business,” explained Teresa.

As far as rain gutters are concerned, this couple takes their products and installations seriously.

Rain gutters are the last thing you put on your home, and it’s important that they are hung properly, said Teresa. If not balanced correctly, water will gather in the trough and problems could arise.

“This water could be a place for mosquitoes to breed, and water problems could be caused on your fascia, which could eventually cause dry rot,” she said.

Once rain gutters are installed, John recommends cleaning them twice a year.

For those who don’t have the extra time, or find that the job is a physical challenge, Superior Rain Gutters has a solution. “We provide a rain gutter cleaning service,” said John.

Outdoor awnings have grown in popularity throughout the years and Custom Awnings beautify homes with a custom flair.

“Canvas awnings dress the house and make it unique,” Teresa pointed out.

Aside from aesthetics, awnings can also serve as a cooling factor in the warm months.

“At the front of the home, you want to make sure that you get the right canvas and aluminum awnings, while in the back of the home you may only need sunscreens,” said Teresa. “Awnings can change the temperature inside a room by 20 degrees.”

The company offers awnings or freestanding structures in any shape or size, explained Teresa. Awnings can offer flexibility in creating shade and gives families a whole new living space at their residence.

This year, the Newmans are delighted to offer a new awning product line: Amerimax Alumawood. “It looks like wood, but it’s aluminum,” said Teresa.

Not only is this wood-textured product fire safe, but this structure is low maintenance and adds an additional value to your home.

Some of the designs Custom Awnings have done include a shade structure utilizing a lattice design. It’s an impressive sight when the sun’s rays filter through the lattice top cover.

“You can see our awning work around town,” said John. “We’ve installed them at Joe’s Hardware, Farmhouse Coffee, and El Jardin [Mexican Restaurant].”

When choosing a product line to work with, John and Teresa do thorough research. “The biggest thing we look for is quality,” said John. A quality product is tantamount to longevity.

This husband and wife team also assures their customers that they will receive excellent service and the couple will always stand behind their work.

“We want our customers to be happy and satisfied,” explained John. “Our employees are also very conscientious.”

John and Teresa enjoy their line of work because of the people they meet and the ability they have to enhance the beauty of a residence.

“We treat a customer’s home like it was our own,” said Teresa.
