Hamilton will win over Issa

I was pleased to see a reasonable Republican, Jesse Frank Ford, come to the same conclusion (opinion) as many other observers in the 49th and 50th Districts: Brian Bilbray and Darrel Issa are “two of the worst congressman” ever seen.

I am sorry to hear that he is too ill to run against Issa; since as a military man, he knows that Issa and Bilbray are among the Republicans the DAV chastises for not voting for increases in veterans’ healthcare, shortened deployments and increased education and military family help.

Ford would have made a viable Republican choice, just as Bob Hamilton is a viable Democratic choice in the 49th.

I can’t for the life of me understand why all the military families in the 49th haven’t joined together to vote for anyone other than Issa, regardless of party, so that they could have someone to vote in Congress for the support that military families need during and after their blessed service to our country. The 49th and 50th are examples of people voting against their own self interest.

With that in mind, it becomes incumbent on all of us in the 49th to carry to victory Hamilton, who courageously decided to run as a Democrat against Issa and should win over Issa.

The same goes for Bilbray. It is time to vote against him in the 50th so that we do not continue to fill the House with “lock-step” lemmings who support the leadership of the neo-cons.

When will we ever get back to the bipartisan leadership in Congress that represents all Americans, neither far left nor far right?
