The popinjay strikes again

David Meyers needs to learn to read with greater comprehension.

First, I did not criticize him for calling Hillary Clinton a blackmailer. My criticism, which I still stand by, was that he made a serious accusation without substantiation.

Second, I did not provide substantiation for Hillary NOT being a blackmailer because I made no such claim.

In his letter of February 14, Meyers identifies his source: Dick Morris. He says, “Morris openly admits...those allegations against Hillary.” Actually, Morris is delighting in getting paid for his “exposes.”

Meyers should consider his source. Morris was serving as campaign manager for Bill Clinton’s 1996 presidential bid, but his tenure was terminated when it was revealed he had allowed a prostitute to listen in on conversations with the President. Morris just might be a wee bit bitter.

Then there’s a matter of character. Consider this: “…There are high-profile individuals like political consultant and Fox News contributor, Dick Morris. Morris owes over $280,000 and has been on the state’s list of tax delinquents for years.” (www.wtnh.com/Global/story.asp?S=6134720) Wouldn’t you know it, Morris is a contributor to Faux News!

That said, I’m no particular fan of Hillary. My choice is Obama. I certainly wouldn’t vote for any of the Republican aspirants, with their shameless pandering to the Christian evangelicals, who want to legislate morality.

Oh, and one more thing: Meyers says, “Whenever I write my letters, I always keep it pithy…” Thanks for yet another good laugh (LOL).
