Warriors put away Lancers 51-48

The Fallbrook Warrior varsity boys basketball team ended their league play Thursday, February 14, with a satisfying victory over the Carlsbad Lancers.

It was a close game from start to finish, with the Warriors leading 23-20 at halftime.

During the third quarter the Warriors fell behind by five points but quickly made up the difference with some key shots and good defense in the fourth, finishing the game Fallbrook 51, Carlsbad 48.

The victory ushered the Warriors into the first round of the CIF division I playoffs against Torrey Pines.

The Warriors put together a balanced scoring effort with Tyler Straeter pumping in 13 points and Jake Ware 10. Bryce Dornan and Nolan Robinson both contributed eight points while Aaron Atkins and Mitchell Salazar scored seven and five points, respectively.

The Warriors end league play with a record of 4-6 and an overall score of 11-17.
