Jewel Colvin

Jewel Colvin, 79, passed away February 10, 2008, while in Fallbrook Hospital after a short battle with cancer and pneumonia.

Jewel was born in Louisiana and lived in the South until he married and moved to California with his wife, Christine. They lived in southern California for about 38 years, then moved to northern California, where they had a walnut orchard. When all of their children relocated to southern California, they moved back to Fallbrook.

Jewel and Chris have two daughters, Pamela Lind, Murrieta, CA, and Jodie Padilla (James), Temecula, CA, as well as three granddaughters, Stephanie Duenas (Jeremy), Orange, CA, and Jamie and Jillian Padilla, Temecula.

Jewel was one of a large family, having six brothers and three sisters and many nieces and nephews. He was a gentle, loving man who will be missed.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. on March 8 at Berry-Bell & Hall Fallbrook Mortuary, 333 North Vine Street.
