Hansen builds boardwalk as Eagle Scout Project

John Hansen with Troop 725 has completed his Eagle Project at the Bonsall Preserve, adding another 20 foot of boardwalk to the wetland and riparian habitat.

This project controls the way humans impact the fragile ecosystem by keeping visitors above the wetlands on the wooden boardwalk while bird watching and taking in the preserve’s natural beauty.

Hansen had to submit plans for the boardwalk and a list of materials to the Fallbrook Land Conservancy’s preserve manager for final approval.

After the project was approved, he had to get a crew together, instruct them on the construction and keep them organized throughout the project.

The Fallbrook Land Conservancy congratulates Hansen on his achievements in Scouting and on completing his Eagle Project at the Bonsall Preserve.
