On February 12, La Paloma Elementary School rewarded its top readers with an author visit assembly.

Students who earned the most points from the Accelerated Reading Program from each grade level were invited to hear Kevin Gerard speak to them.

Gerard, whose mother lives in Fallbrook, is the author of a series of books called “Conor and the Crossworlds.” After hearing him speak, the students were able to ask him questions about his books and the writing process.
