Raymond C. Sauter

Raymond C. Sauter,80, passed away on February 9, 2008, in Lynnwood, WA.

Devoted husband of Chizuko Hibino Sauter; loving father of Theresa Sauter Fukui (Naokuni), Mark Raymond Sauter, and Elizabeth Sauter Haugen (Gerald); brother of Dorothy Sauter and Joseph Sauter; and grandfather to Sarah, Jessica, and Olivia.

Originally from Gloucester, NJ, he left for Japan in 1947 to work for the US Federal Government. He stayed in Japan for the next 38 years to work and raise his family. He retired in 1985 and moved to Lynnwood. The last year of his life was spent in Fallbrook, CA, with daughter Elizabeth and her husband, Gerald.

Funeral Mass was held at St. Peter’s Catholic Community. Berry-Bell & Hall Fallbrook Mortuary handled arrangements. He is buried at Mission San Luis Rey in Oceanside.
