National Charity League offers scholarships

FALLBROOK — April 9 is the deadline for National Charity League (NCL) scholarship applications to be turned into the Career Center at Fallbrook High School.

This year, NCL will offer $500-$1,000 Ann Daniel Memorial scholarships to college-bound Fallbrook High School senior girls.

Awards are based on grade point average, school and community activities. Also taken into consideration are community service work, financial need, personal recommendation, essay and interview with the scholarship committee.

NCL is a nonprofit corporation composed of Patroness and Ticktocker groups organized to initiate and encourage charitable endeavors and to foster the mother-daughter relationships in philanthropic, cultural and leadership development.

Funds for the scholarships are raised through various events throughout the year.
