Female cancer patients offered assistance

ESCONDIDO — Women undergoing chemotherapy or radiation treatment for cancer are invited to participate in “Look Good, Feel Better,” a program designed to help female cancer patients learn how to restore their appearance through the use of wigs, makeup and accessories.

The free, two-hour, hands-on, bilingual workshop will be from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, March 24, at Palomar Hospital, 555 East Valley Parkway.

Participants receive a complimentary kit of cosmetics valued at more than $300 to use during the program and to take home for their personal use.

Reservations are mandatory, as space is limited to 10 patients per session.

The program is offered as a partnership of the American Cancer Society, the Cosmetic, Toiletry and Fragrance Association Foundation and the National Cosmetology Association.

Call (800) 227-2345 for reservations or additional cancer information.
