Helen Louise "Pat" Enander

Helen Louise “Pat” Enander passed away March 10, 2008, at Fallbrook Skilled Nursing Facility.

Pat was born in Los Angeles on February 20, 1922, to Hazel and Claude Hawkins. She retired from the LAPD after more than 20 years of service and had been a Fallbrook resident for 20 years.

Pat married Ralph Enander in May 2003. They enjoyed traveling, socializing with friends and family and VFW functions. She was a member of Fallbrook United Methodist Church. Pat volunteered at the Senior Center thrift store and also when needed at the Senior Center.

She is survived by her husband Ralph and his children, Craig Enander and Carol Stevens; grandchildren Sarah, Jessica and Joel; daughter Peggy Berner, Palm Desert; grandsons Steve and John, Atlanta, GA; brothers Charles and William Hawkins; and sister Ruth Gaines; plus many loving nieces, nephews and longtime friends.

A family graveside service was held March 18 at Rose Hills Cemetery in Whittier. A memorial service will be held at Fallbrook United Methodist Church on Tuesday, March 25, at 2 p.m.

The family thanks VITAS Hospice for their support and care of Pat in her final days. Pat’s smile and sense of humor will be remembered lovingly by all who were fortunate to know her.
