Learn about advance directives for healthcare

FALLBROOK — The Elizabeth Hospice will host a free community workshop for National Health Care Decisions Day on April 11 from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the Fallbrook Community Center, 341 Heald Lane.

The topics of the workshops are “Starting a Conversation with Your Loved Ones,” “Your Future Wishes for Healthcare Decisions” and “How to Complete an Advance Directive.”

The workshop is held in support of encouraging individuals to complete an advance directive to ensure their wishes are followed when they cannot express them for themselves – if they become seriously ill or incapacitated.

It is also meant to guide those who are concerned for the care of aging parents or other loved ones.
