What do you do if offered vanilla when what you really want is chocolate?

As a conservative Republican, that’s how I feel this election year. With Romney and Huckabee out of the race, we’re stuck with vanilla… John McCain.

Although I don’t agree with McCain on many issues, I do respect him. Did you know that as a Vietnam POW, McCain was offered an early release but declined it because he refused to leave his men? He endured four more years of torture.

That kind of character definitely outshines the Clinton years. And since Obama’s voting record is more liberal than Ted Kennedy’s, conservative voters appear to have two choices: They can refuse to vote for McCain and wait four more years, hoping for a candidate who better represents them, or they can vote for the better of two choices. Is vanilla with chocolate sprinkles acceptable or will you wait until chocolate is offered? Since the issue of pro-life is one of those sprinkles, I’m voting for John McCain.
