Library open house planned

FALLBROOK — Sylvia Ginoza, longtime children’s librarian at Fallbrook Library, is retiring this year and an open house is planned in her honor on Friday, March 28, from 12:30 to 2 p.m.

Ginoza has arranged a colorful display of photographs and memorabilia from her career at the library, which began in 1996, in the Children’s Room.

Ginoza has worked closely with teachers and parents in the community to promote reading and offer innovative programs for children, such as the Paws to Read program (in which children read aloud to companion dogs), as well as exciting programs during the summer at the library and at Hilltop Center.

For further information, contact Teresa Sheehey, branch librarian, or Ginoza at (760) 728-3941.
