Oral Language Fair showcases student talent

Live Oak fourth, fifth and sixth grade students participated in the school’s third annual Oral Language Faire earlier this month.

Each student prepared by memorizing either a dramatic or humorous piece of literature. They auditioned in front of three judges selected from the community.

The top 10 per grade level advanced to the evening performance.

Students recited everything from Shel Silverstein to Martin Luther King, Jr. speeches.

Students followed a few simple rules: pieces must be memorized, groups must speak in unison and performances must be no longer than four minutes.
