Hughey receives Hastings scholarship

Fallbrook High School student Raymond Hughey has been selected to receive a Hastings College Trustee Scholarship valued at $14,000 a year, or $56,000 for four years.

Winning students must rank in the top 20 percent of their senior class and score a 26 composite score or higher on the ACT exam or at least a 1,170 combined score on the SAT exam.

Hastings College, located in Hastings, NE, is a private, four-year liberal arts institution affiliated with the Presbyterian Church.

Hughey is the son of Raymond and Susan Hughey of Fallbrook.
