Author to speak at Friends' annual luncheon

FALLBROOK — The Friends of the Fallbrook Library will offer their next Book Talk on Thursday, April 10, at 1:30 p.m. at the Fallbrook Public Utility District Board Room.

The featured selection is “Run” by Ann Patchett. This is an engaging novel about relationships, but above all about what really constitutes family.

“Run” is the book chosen for this year’s Fallbrook Community Read.

Patchett will be the featured speaker at the Friends’ annual luncheon, slated for April 24 at Pala Mesa Resort’s Cliff Terrace.

Patchett has written for numerous publications, including the New York Times Magazine, Harper’s Magazine, the Washington Post, Vogue and more.

Luncheon tickets and reservations are available by calling Peggy Kesterson at (760) 451-8686. All proceeds will benefit the new library building fund.

The selection for the May Book Talk is “Snow Flower & the Secret Fan” by Lisa See. For information, call (760) 420-9957.
