Enrollment begins for new Academic Core homeschool program

FALLBROOK- The Fallbrook Union Elementary School District has announced enrollment is now open for their new academic core home school program for children kindergarten through eighth grade for the 2008-2009 school year.

The new program is specially structured to satisfy the demand for alternative home-based education. Students will attend school in a traditional academic setting two full days a week with an optional third day of workshops.

“Iowa Street’s new core program is the best of both worlds and is perfect for our lifestyle as we enjoy the rewards of both systems of learning,” said one parent.

Track A

The original ‘Track A’ Home Education Program offers two days a week of enrichment workshops to students K-8, including technology, visual and performing arts, band, Spanish, physical education, and more. On-campus enrichment program workshops supplement the home-based academic core instruction.

Track B

‘Track B’ is the New Core, consisting of two days a week core instruction at a school site with a third day of workshops optional. Core consists of Math, Science, Language Arts, and Social Studies. Academics are reinforced and supplemented through assigned work that is taught at home the other three days a week. Track B includes optional classroom lab and enrichment electives for the third day.
