Spring as busy as ever

The Fallbrook High ASB is back at work planning some exciting events which the public can participate in. In the last month, the ASB has held Battle of the Genders Week, a pep rally, and Sadie Hawkins Dance. The next two months will be even more exciting. The main focus for the ASB is the Prom and trying to hype up the STAR testing.

The first event that ASB is holding is called STAR hype week where the ASB will carry out events and attempt to have all students attend during the week before STAR testing. During this week, the prom committee will have a Prom Expo at lunch in the FHS bowl. Then to finish off this week, on Friday, April 11, is the Shooting for the Stars Dance. The dance will go from 7 to 10 p.m. in the Barn and it costs $5 at the door. The point of the dance is to combine something that is fun and energetic like the dance with something people do not normally look highly upon, which is STAR testing. The ASB is doing their best to get full turnout for the testing by visiting classes as well. Also, do not forget that STAR testing starts on Monday, April 14, at 7:40 a.m.

Another exciting event that the public can participate in is the canned food drive. We are encouraging all students to bring canned food, but also hooked up a deal for the public. If the public is interested in donating to the canned food drive, on Monday April 21, Sourdough Pizza will sell their $13 pizzas for $8 to anyone who brings 10 items of food or more. Thanks a lot to Sourdough Pizza and I hope to see you at Sourdough.

Then there is planning going on for this year’s Prom. The Prom will be held on May 10 at the Hard Rock Hotel. The Prom will be remembered for a lifetime, so help make sure all juniors and seniors attend. If people are interested in helping with funds for the Prom, today (April 10) there is a Claim Jumper Night at the restaurant in Temecula. At Claim Jumper if you have a flier, which can normally be picked up at the location, you can get a percentage of your bill placed into the Prom fund. Thanks to Claim Jumper and to all in advance!

If you have any further questions about future events please look at http://www.fallbrookhs.org and go to the ASB link.
