Start summer off with four days at the beach

Palomar College’s Earth, Space and Aviation Sciences Department is offering Oceanography of the Southern California Bight, La Jolla to Point Conception, as a one unit field study from May 27-30, 2008. Students will explore coastal ecosystems and geological and oceanographic processes along Southern California beaches, including a day on East Anacapa Island in Channel Islands National Park.

The course will also focus on human interactions in the coastal environment.

This 4-day, 3-night trip begins in La Jolla and ends near Point Conception. Students will provide their own transportation (carpooling recommended).
