The merits of American Youth Football and Cheer

Fallbrook American Youth Football and Cheer has grown and excitement abounds. However, some misinformation has been circulated and this letter seeks to give you the facts.

Fact #1: There are no hidden costs in AYFC. Your registration fee represents your total financial commitment to AYFC for the regular Fall season and there are no equipment deposits and no volunteer deposits.

Fact #2: There is no excessive travel with AYFC. Yes, your player will have to travel regardless of the league he/she plays in. We will be scheduling home games and away games.

Fact #3: AYFC is just as competitive as other youth football leagues. We stress competitive spirit; positions won through merit and not politics, and letting all the players play the game.

Fact #4: This is the first year AYFC is experimenting with Spring 8 Man Tackle (versus 11) in certain areas of the country. The program will be refined and eventually offered to all AFYC Leagues.

The best place for your athlete is the organization that is committed to player safety, proper coaching techniques, fiduciary responsibility and the most enjoyable experience for both layer and parents.

I am honored to be the first president of Fallbrook AYFC. Best wishes for a great fall football season to all of you.

Jill Crosswhite

President, Fallbrook/Bonsall AYFC
