Rocky Peak has new owners

sidents Kirk and Allisa Hampton are the proud new owners of Rocky Peak health food store.

“We are continuing with the same quality and atmosphere successfully created by Lynn and Jerry Weiss,” said Allisa.

The Weisses, who are experts in the holistic and organic health field, are mentoring and giving guidance to the new owners.

According to Allisa, “People will still enjoy their favorite Rocky Peak recipes, with some new and exciting additions to the menu as well as the grocery section.”

Beginning in September, operating hours will expand and a new breakfast menu will be offered with coffee, tea, bagels, muffins and hot dishes. Exciting entrees will also be offered for customers to take home and easily heat up for dinner.

Customers can sit and relax on the updated front patio while delicious aromas of vegetable lasagna, homemade barley soup or possibly yummy fresh-baked cookies waft from the kitchen.

At lunchtime, hungry customers can still expect to drop by “The Peak” to order some of the daily hot specials or possibly an Oriental salad and a fresh fruit smoothie. Delicious paninis and quesadillas are just two of the newest additions to the lunch menu.

Allisa and Kirk are dedicated to feeding their customers nutritious and delicious foods. The store carries one of the best and healthiest natural food selections of groceries available. The couple is streamlining the supplements section for efficiency.

Lynne, a world-class gourmet chef with 25 years experience preparing health food, says she will enjoy mentoring Allisa as she carries on the Rocky Peak tradition. Allisa has a head start on preparing the healthy recipes, as she has worked at the store in the past.

The Hamptons will continue to carry organic produce – some grown on local farms. They are seeking out other high-quality local growers and farmers who invest in soil building each year.

“We want to continue to give our friends and customers the richest, healthiest produce available while supporting the local agricultural community,” said Allisa. “Rocky Peak is known for their homegrown organic strawberries, tomatoes and green vegetables.”

When asked what she is most excited about as she takes over the operation, she replied, “Finding new, healthy and tasty products. There are so many great health foods and products available now and the varieties keep getting better.”

Allisa recently attended the Anaheim Health Expo and plans to bring many new products into the store.

“I’m dedicated to keeping a quality, organic green operation and atmosphere while catering to the health-conscious and those trying to be healthier and environmentally friendly,” she said. “For the opportunity to enjoy good-tasting food that’s good for you, stop in at The Peak.”

The Peak is located at 936 South Main Avenue and can be reached by phone at (760) 728-9309.
