FALLBROOK — Mae Allarie has been named Woman of the Year by the Fallbrook Woman’s Club. The award is presented annually for outstanding volunteerism and devotion to the club’s principles and activities.

Allarie, a member of the club since 2002, served as sixth vice president in 2002-2003, fifth vice president in 2004-2005, recording secretary in 2005-2006, a delegate to the district in 2004-2005 and tea chairman co-host in 2007-2008.

During her six-year membership, Allarie has participated in many of the club’s activities, including the annual Camp Pendleton Teen Christmas Party, the Velvet Cat Home Tour, the compilation of the club’s avocado cookbook and many others.

“I am honored to receive this award,” Allarie said. “The Fallbrook Woman’s Club is not just a social club but a service club that does things to help the people of Fallbrook. I’m proud to be a member.”
