VFW collecting goods for troops

Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 1924 seeks to comfort the Marines who are serving in Iraq.

The following items are being sought: cookies, candy, potato chips, toothbrushes and toothpaste, baby wipes, soap, lip balm and scissors suitable for cutting hair.

Foods stored in glass containers cannot be sent.

Donations may be dropped off at the VFW, 1175 Old Stage Road, Fallbrook. Open daily at 11 a.m.
