Time Warner being greedy

Since the October 2007 mandatory evacuations for the Rice Canyon Fire, we had no Time Warner Internet service for over two weeks. Our area was hard hit, with several homes on Daisy Lane being totally destroyed. Consequently, we deducted $25 from our monthly bill of $49.99 with a note of explanation.

Time Warner has demanded full payment. Today, we received a notice saying Time Warner was going to disconnect our service because of the $25 due. Time Warner is a giant in the industry and costs much more than ATT (which is not available in our neighborhood).

I contacted Time Warner with an e-mail similar to this, saying I would be writing a letter to the Village News. We went through so much suffering and trauma and they are not helping matters at all, another situation of corporate greed.
