Avenue of the Oaks rides to success

FALLBROOK — The inaugural got off to a successful start on Saturday, April 5, at Live Oak Park.

With nearly 350 cyclists participating, riders enjoyed the beauty of Fallbrook with plenty of safety support from the Fallbrook Radio Handlers Club, California Highway Patrol, local Sheriff’s officers and approximately 80 invaluable volunteers.

Cyclists were able to choose between three different routes with varying degrees of difficulty and lengths. Afterward, participants took part in a silent auction, Hawaiian barbecue, Stone Brew beer garden and wine tasting at Live Oak Park. Proceeds from the event benefit PEDAL for Kids.

Both participants and volunteers are looking forward to next year’s ride. For more information and photos go to http://www.avenueoftheoaks.com.
