FALLBROOK — Fallbrook Family Support League held their annual Mahjong Tournament on Friday, April 18, at Fallbrook Public Utility District. A total of 88 players, or 22 tables, participated in the event. The funds from this tournament help support needed counseling services for local schoolchildren, fire victims and military families on a pay-as-you-are-able or free basis.
Gloria Rowe was the high score first place winner, with Margaret Wernett running a very close second place, which gave them the first and second picks of the donated prize table.
Joy Williams, dressed in a fancy hat, handled the raffle for more than two dozen terrific raffle prizes donated from local businesses. The last raffle prize was a handcrafted quilt made and donated by Araxy Moosa and won by Suzanne Marbach. Marbach was having a very lucky day, as she also won two additional raffle prizes.
