Barbecue fire safety

CAL FIRE offers some fire safety tips for outdoor barbecuing.

Always remember to place the can of lighter fluid in a safe place before lighting the fire. Do not add flammable liquid to a fire after it is burning and never under any circumstances use gasoline to start a barbecue.

Finally, keep small children away from an open fire. Accidents can happen quickly. Be fire safe, not sorry.
