'Wulfenite is Love' topic of Gem and Mineral meeting

FALLBROOK — “Red Cloud Mine: Wulfenite is Love” will be presented by Garth Bricker at the Thursday, May 8, meeting of the Fallbrook Gem & Mineral Society. The meeting, scheduled for 7 p.m. at 123 Alvarado Street, will feature an extended version of Bricker’s talk about the Red Cloud Mine he gave at this year’s Tucson Gem and Mineral Show.

Bricker is probably best known among the international mineral collecting community for his excellent collection of wulfenites and mining artifacts from this famous, and now reclaimed, locality. Many collectors regard the wulfenites from this mine to be the finest known. Bricker is a native Fallbrookian and retired grade school teacher. He collected at the Red Cloud Mine over a course of 30 years.
