Annual Car Show May 25 to include fashion event

FALLBROOK- Along with a new location, the 43rd Annual Fallbrook Vintage Car Show on Sunday, May 25, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., will also include a fashion show event this year.

“At 11:30 a.m., there will be a ladies fashion show hosted by Caravan Women’s Apparel,” David Bergeson, president of the Fallbrook Vintage Car Club, said. Caravan owner Leslie Sommers explained that the fashion show will be unique and interesting, featuring apparel modeled by ladies that are members of the car club. In addition, the Potter Junior High choral group will perform at 10:30 a.m.

“We are striving to make our show even more attractive to the entire family, while simultaneously having a great time,” Bergeson said. “Of course, there will be our fantastic car show featuring hundreds of cars, trucks, tractors, and even a fire truck. Plus we have the swap meet selling all sorts of treasures. And this year we have added a car corral for those selling their vintage vehicle and not wishing to be judged.”

Fallbrook Vintage Car Club’s annual car show will move this year to the grass field at Potter Junior High School, 1743 Reche Road, because artificial turf has been installed at Fallbrook High School where the show was held in years past.

“We have had over forty years of successful shows at the high school and we were indeed sad to have to relocate,” Bergeson said. “The good that comes out of this is the opportunity to make changes and grow. And that is exactly what we are doing.”

Breakfast and lunch foods will be made available at the event by the Fallbrook Firefighters Association, Kiwanis, and the Boy Scouts.

“This is a major fund raiser for these groups too,” Bergeson said. For more information, go to http://www.fallbrookvintagecarclub.com.
