Bike to Work Day is May 16

The San Diego Association of Governments has announced it will sponsor Bike to Work Day on May 16.

This is a nationally recognized event that occurs at the end of California Bike Commute Week, a statewide effort that promotes biking to work.

The purpose of Bike to Work Day is to create public awareness of the benefits and opportunities of bicycling to work rather than driving alone in a car.

Biking is a proven transportation that reduces traffic congestion, improves mobility, and provides an alternative to driving alone.
