Hospice on program for seniors

The general meeting of the Fallbrook Seniors on Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at 9:30 a.m. will feature Pat Smorzewski from the Fallbrook Hospital Home Health and Hospice, where she has been director for the past eight years.

The hospice program is very important to everyone, and Pat will give information needed to be aware of just how valuable this program is as seniors age and have terminal illnesses.

Handouts will be available to all attending, and all seniors are urged to show up for this informative meeting. Refreshments prepared by Jean Lockett will be served.

The regular monthly Bingo session will begin that same day at 12:30 and end at 2:30. Cards are $1 each and refreshments will be served. Joe Fahey is the caller and Joe and his wife Audi purchase all the prizes.

On Wednesday, May 14, the senior Knit Wits will meet at 10:30 a.m. at the center to continue their knitting of various items for the children of servicemen who are overseas. Donations of yarn are always welcome. Call GiGi at 728-9074 for more information.

Everyone is reminded to bring their donations for the Senior Center’s Operation GI Joe program.
